I left my loved ones today
For a boot camp far away...
I joined the military.
I intend to be a good man;
To become all I possibly can...
A proud member of the Army.
I'm sure that I can do it;
I can make it through it...
I know that I am strong.
In just a few weeks
I'll be reaching new peaks...
It really won't seem so long.
It first it may be tough;
New beginnings are always rough...
But I have what it takes to thrive.
Guardian and defender I will be
For God, family, and my country...
With God's help I will survive.
