There are no words of sympathy
That anyone can say
To ease the painful loss
Of a loved one passed away.
No more can one touch them...
The mortal shell is gone;
Merely a thought, or dream, away:
The spirit still lives on.
There's just a void remaining
Whenever loved ones leave
A cold and aching emptiness
And so we always grieve.
Gather the golden memories
Into a shining bouquet...
Place it in that hollowness
To comfort, and light one's way.
