O.K., God...You Win
Great Creator, I'm not
The most willing to serve,
Yet You have given to me
Far more than I deserve.
I'm surrounded by love
I'm not certain I've earned;
Aware that more lessons
Are still to be learned.
Though You tempered my spirit
With many trials by fire,
I've kept ever in mind
You've a Purpose much higher.
No longer so arrogant;
Not judgemental, or proud;
Choosing carefully words
That I speak aloud.
Though different he be
Let me welcome my brother,
For we seek the same Path:
One God, and no other.
I know, now, to give thanks
In advance, and be sure
You will always provide wisdom,
And the strength to endure.
To hear Your Voice clearly,
Let my spirit be still...
That I may be faithful
In obeying Your Will.
